What kind of works are considered?
Any clown theatre related performance work; we aspire to represent a large range of clown theatre forms and backgrounds. Pieces of any length may be submitted, full length, short show, and individual clown turns. Shows may be geared to all age ranges, and audiences, please indicate this information in your show description.

What does it cost you?
Nothing. There are no application fees or entrance fees. Box office ($12 per ticket) from each production will be split equally between the production’s artists and The Brick Theater, Inc. (Shows with double- or triple-bills and cabaret shows will split the artists' 50% share among themselves.)

How many works will be accepted?
A modest amount. While The Brick would be thrilled to present as many quality projects as apply, the Festival will be able to showcase only a limited number of works.

What are the theater’s specifications?
The primary space at The Brick is a raised, sprung wood floor that incorporates audience and stage space. The stage area in the festival setup will be approximately 21 feet wide by 30 feet deep. The depth may be lesser to include a curtained off area in the back for backstage use and light storage. The height is 12 feet to the lighting grid, not including obstruction from lights that hang below the grid. The stage space is covered with black dance marleys.
Lighting and Sound Systems
The theater has 19 Source Fours, 1 Parcan, 2 Birdie lights, 2 scrollers and 2 ICues. The light board is a 24-channel ETC Express programmable light board. The sound system includes two CD players, an amplifier, a soundboard, an equalizer, four speakers, 2 XLR snakes and four microphones with stands.
Video Projection
The theater has a video projector hooked up to a DVD player. The theater has a removable film screen that is approximately 20 feet long by 12 feet high. These are available to all festival productions.

Sets and Storage
While we would love to give significant storage options to all festival productions, The Brick has minimal options for storage, especially with multiple productions running on any given day. As necessary, we will make space available, but we ask that you conceive your production with our space limitations in mind-the more storage space we must provide the smaller the playing area becomes. The Brick will have available an upright piano, chairs and tables and a sofa for each production at a minimum.

Press
The Brick Theater, Inc. employs a professional Press Representative to publicize the festival and all its artists. The Brick Theater, Inc. will create postcards or informational flyers for the festival, free of charge. However, any production company that wishes to print its own postcards or publicize itself in any other form may do so. If you already have press materials, please send them with your application so that we may get buzz started early. Good press photos given to us early are CRITICAL to your publicity.

Tech Rehearsals
Each participating company will have one tech/dress rehearsal scheduled on a date ranging from September 24th to the day before your show’s first performance, we will do our best to accommodate your travel schedules. . It will be at least twice the length of your production.

All-Festival Passes
All Participants in the festival will receive passes that allow them to see any festival production for FREE, provided there is room
