This show stems from a desire to connect to people, to the physical places we find ourselves and to the present. It’s about grasping for flashes of color and sense memories to make the world feel tangible, intimate, and vibrant. We love the contradictions of the color blue. It might feel like deep sadness in the depths of winter or like the joy of jumping in the ocean in the height of summer. We’re also inspired by many artists who’ve explored blue in their work, like Maggie Nelson’s Bluets and Joni Mitchell’s “Blue.”

Blue brings together artists of various mediums, opening up the conversation on how they see and feel the color blue and we invite you to discover your own perspective at the show in August too.
