From Octavia Butler to the X-files\, retro futurism to modern day Young Adult fiction\, we’ll be covering a wide range of what makes sci-fi so exhilarating-while reading it to you in the nude! \nFor the month of March our readers will be Anja Keister\, Cochina Divina\, Margot Heart\, and Gravity\, Queen of Love and Hope. \nBare Book Club (formerly “Naked Girls Reading”) is a group of beautiful womxn who love to read…naked. That’s it. Originally established a decade ago in Chicago as the monthly event Naked Girls Reading\, the now named Bare Book Club has evolved into a popular literary salon with chapters across the U.S. and as far as Cape Town\, South Africa. The NYC chapter reopened fall of 2021 and we are excited to bring you an evening of entertainment that you will never forget. \nYou can read more about the concept behind Bare Book Club and the NYC chapter in our recent Brooklyn Magazine writeup. \nIn consideration for the health and safety or our staff members\, artists\, and audiences\, The Brick remains committed to maintaining vaccination requirements and mask mandates for our in-person presentations for the foreseeable future. We ask that all audience members remain masked. All staff and performers will be vaccinated; performers may not be masked. Audience can provide proof of vaccination with a government issued I.D. along with a physical copy or picture of your COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card\, the NYC COVID Safe App or the New York State Excelsior Pass.
