Join us for the first BrickFlix of 2025! We’ll be exploring the lives of underground musicians Doug Hream Blunt and Susan Dietrich (aka ‘The Space Lady’).

HREAM (dir. Geoffrey Hug)
Join Doug Hream Blunt, a 30+ year career male nurse and adult music student, as he embarks on a world tour, playing his first shows ever outside of Laguna Honda Hospital, where he played for his AIDS ward patients in the 1980’s.

Isolated on the eerie plains of rural Colorado, Susan (aka ‘The Space Lady’) is beginning to receive notoriety for her early contributions to electronic pop music after decades of obscurity and homelessness.

BrickFlix, a periodic screening & performance series was created by Filmmaker/Two Boots owner Phil Hartman in January 2020. It brings together independent filmmakers, live performance, and food to create a vibrant art loving community. It is currently programmed by Toney Brown.

A Note on Accessibility: The Brick Theater is conveniently located off the Lorimer stop on the L train. That stop has an elevator from the street to the platform. Our theater has a driveway leading up to the door, which means you can access it directly from the street without having to go over a curb. Our front door is ADA compliant. There is a small ramp with an ADA compliant grade that leads up to the box office window and further on to the house. We are happy to reserve accessible seats for folks who need them. If you’d like to do so, or if you would like to ask further questions in advance of being in the space, or if you would like to enter in advance of our house opening (due to our seating not being assigned), please email: cameron@bricktheater.com.
