Using a combination of live and video performance\, I’m Going To Marry Your Dad takes you through Margaret Thatcher’s interpretation of Sesame Street in hopes to answer the big question: is there any hope for the individual?\nFeaturing video by Eric Vitale. \nShawn Escarciga (Miss Lady Salad)–performance artist and noted mentally ill homosexual–has dreams. Join them as they explore what happens when your bedroom becomes a place of deep introspection\, and then that introspection becomes depression\, and then that depression becomes a performance\, and then that performance is at The Brick. Drawing from their background in dance\, pseudo-comedy\, trolling online\, making fun of JVN\, and speculating on what working class artists might be able to do if we weren’t working all the fucking time\, Shawn brings these dreams… to you. \nIn consideration for the health and safety or our staff members\, artists\, and audiences\, The Brick remains committed to maintaining vaccination requirements and mask mandates for our in-person presentations for the foreseeable future.
