Are you gripping your flashlight tightly? Did you take your pill today? Quiet now. A transmission’s coming through. \nRachel Weekley: The Fool/Writer\nTyler Riley: The Transmission\nBobby Marcus: Projection Designer\nRobert Malbrough: Director/Designer\nZeynep Akca: Producer \nOn a garbage heap at the end of the world one fool looks for meaning and love from the only words they’ve ever known. King of Nothing is a one person\, one sock puppet mangling of King Lear inspired by the environmental collapse of our post-Amazon age that explores the viability of text stripped of its original context and structure. Can we create beauty out of garbage? Can we find ourselves together in our loneliness? What is the point of a fool at the end of the world? \nOriginally workshopped at Brick Aux\, and presented as part of TrashFest/DarkFest 2022 at The Tank. \n \nRachel Weekley [they/them] (The Fool/Writer) Is a Clown/Performer/Movement Coordinator based in NYC. They graduated from Ohio University with a BFA in performance and trained with The American Mime Theater. Besides creating their own solo work They are also a Line Producer and Performer with SCOWL\, a Queer and Trans-centric\, stage combat comedy show. His past roles include Ajax (Ajax)\, Bodure (Ubu Roix)\, Julian (Plucker)\, and Elliot in the NY premiere of The Promised Land. Tyler will next be seen on stage in FRIGID New York’s Fringe Festival as J.J. Williams in Kingfish. Outside of his artistic endeavors\, Tyler serves as the digital and dance programs manager at TDF. \nBobby Marcus [he/they] is a new projection/video designer in Brooklyn. He/They is grateful for his first professional gig with such a wonderful team. His work has been seen at Edinburgh Fringe\, The Brick\, The Tank\, Target Margin\, Abingdon Theatre Company\, Caveat\, the stage door of the Al Hirschfeld\, and various crypts\, warehouses\, bars\, and computer screens.
