We will be enforcing this policy for all upcoming performances\, and ask that all audience members\, regardless of vaccination status\, remain masked. All staff and performers will be vaccinated\, performers may not be masked. Audience can provide proof of vaccination with a government issued I.D. along with a COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card or the Excelsior Pass App. We are navigating this day to day just like all of you so please be patient with staff when you attend your next Brick event. We love all of you. \n*** \nMARIJA KRTOLICA \n \nRe-Inventing Love sources from the writing of the philosopher Alain Badiou and surrealist\npoetry to create an embodied poetics. Dramatic pathos\, irony and beauty of the urban\nexistence\, and bold kinetic expression combine to create startling scenes. The choreographer\nMarija Krtolica collaborates with the performers Julie Fotheringham\, Michael Mangieri\, Dustin\nMaxwell\, and guitar player Jason Ciaccio. \n\nARTIST BIOS: \nJason Ciaccio (live music\, voice) is a musician\, writer and scholar who holds a PhD in comparative literature and teaches writing and literary studies in the City University of New York. \nJulie Fotheringham (performer\, collaborating artist) is a NYC based dance movement artist. She has shown her own work at venues such as Roulette and Movement Research at Judson Church. Julie also practices Lacanian psychoanalysis. More info: juliefotheringham.net \ndustin maxwell (performer\, collaborating artist) is a movement based performer\, performance maker\, visual artist\, yogasana instructor\, thai bodyworker\, and death doula in training. He holds a BA in Dance from the University of Minnesota. He is a 2019 Jerome Hill Artist Fellow and was nominated for a 2015 Sage Award for Outstanding Performer. \n​​Marija Krtolica (choreographer\, performer) — a dance-theater maker since the early 1990s earned a PhD in dance from Temple University in 2019. In 2020/21 her current project — Re-Inventing Love\, was supported by the the Downtown Brooklyn Rehearsal Initiative by providing free rehearsal space (for more\, VISIT) \n?!:New Works is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. \n*** \nDONAT DE LA CRUZ \n \nPresenting original poems: \n“Black”  \n“Brown Skin Lady”  \n“Wash Heights”  \n \nDonat is 32\, a child of the diaspora\, star trek and plants.
