DESCRIPTION:The Brick Presents\nTin Iso and the Dawn\nby Tristan Allen \nWith an opening set of music by Alyse Lamb \nAugust 23 & 24 at 8pm \n \nTin Iso and the Dawn is a shadow puppet symphony performed alongside an original\, full length album. The project shares the origins of an imaginary world created to give age-old magic life through puppetry and music. \nTin Iso and the Dawn is operated by a solo puppeteer\, composed and performed to explore the hidden turnings of a world at its genesis. Lights dim to black as a delicate melody slips into abstraction. Iso awakens to a bang as Tin crashes through the sky forming a hole above\, light pours through and they meet. Their journey through shadow brings forth a rising sun and the beginning of life. The heart is a very curious thing. \nAlyse Lamb (she/her) is a musician and interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn\, NY. \nIn consideration for the health and safety or our staff members\, artists\, and audiences\, The Brick remains committed to maintaining vaccination requirements and mask mandates for our in-person presentations for the foreseeable future.
