SUMMARY:PANICMOM
DESCRIPTION:The Exponential Festival and The Brick present\nPANICMOMLianne Elsouki\nat Brick Aux Studio\nJanuary 22-24\, 2026 \nPANICMOM is haunted by the Greek god Pan\, who stages birth and death as a looping gag. He’s just trying to make a joke about reincarnation—one we can’t forget. \nCreated and performed by Lianne Elsouki \nLive Music by:\nAlex Beckmann on drums\nEmily Duncan on flute\nEric Lichtenstein on bass guitar\nLynn Hodeib on violin \nScenic Design: Josh Oberlander\nCostume and Prop Design: Zo Roze\nLight Design: Zee Hanna\nTechnical Director: Trey Mcgee \nFind them: @liannesouki \nBeginning with a gag and never really recovering\, PANICMOM is an exorcism masquerading as a clown show. In an unexpecting mother’s fever dream\, the Greek god Pan induces cycles of birth\, of death\, of birthing death and killing birth. Death and life trade places\, they do a little dance for us\, and we laugh before we understand why. Because\, how *does* the unconscious process violence? With a blender? \nCW: This show contains a strobe light\, abrupt lighting changes\, loud sounds\, and references to violence. \nPANICMOM would like to thank The Brick Theater and its New Works festival\, the safe and supportive birthplace of this project. \n\n\n\n\n \nThe Brick is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
