In these drop in sessions, we will practice improvisational scenes, character creation, improvised theatrical forms, and writing exercises. Each session will be designed for variety of attendees: actors looking to shake up their craft, writers looking to get out of their head, stand ups looking to explore their performance, improvisers looking for practice, and more! The sessions will build on each other but also be completely accessible to one timers.

Tim Platt is a comedian, musician, writer, and actor in Brooklyn, NY who has been seen on The Late Show with Stephen ColbertThe Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and Masterclass with Steve Martin. His stand up is a mix of characters, jokes, puppetry, and music. In 2019 he was selected as one of Comedy Central’s Up Next Variety Comedians at Clusterfest as well a Kickstarter 2019 Creator-In-Residence. He is a castmember of the award winning Actual Play podcast Rude Tales of Magic as well as the host of the comedy interview podcast The Hampton High Archives. His writing and art has been featured on Point In Case, Gawker, and Bedford+Bowery. He’s done a bunch of other stuff that he’s really proud of but would never be mentioned in something like this.
