Nora Chellew and Grace Patterson present an evening of pomander crafting and ritual making under the full moon. The event, which will take place in Chellew’s exhibit The Salt That You Bring to the Table, will be actively framed by the words of Patterson, an instructor of ritual practices. Participants will be given supplies and guidance to make a take-home pomander, and follow a writing exercise invoking the lunar cycle. Wine and seltzer will be available, along with an optional demonstration of egg-hollowing, for anyone interested in further handicraft. Space is limited so please get your tickets hastily, if interested.
Grace Patterson (she/her, linktr.ee/grace.patters.on) is a writer, teacher, and organizer living on Lenape, Matinecock, and Canarsie land in Queens, NY. Her class on cultivating a non-religious spiritual practice is in its third year. Learn more and sign up here.
