Drawing has been around since the literal beginning of mankind. Fucking hieroglyphics, cave paintings⌠stars? Need I say more? Come join me every week and LETS DRAW SOMETHING TOGETHER!
By learning basic mark making techniqueâs like drawing a person, a face, a body, etc. We learn various forms of line work like : cross hatching, stippling, shading, and more, you will be able to conjure up your innermost desires with ease. Perhaps you want to learn to capture the image of your favorite bird, or to depict an idea for your latest performance, to storyboard for a movie, or to invent a totally new landscape for fun. Whatever your reason, we practice it together with a new drawing every week. Canât wait to draw together!

Some materials provided, bring your own if you wish is to create more complex pieces. We will provide drawing boards, paper, and pencils.

River L. Ramirez (they/them) is a NYC based experimental artist, comedian, musician, storyteller and writer who wrote, produced and directed the comedy special program âPervert Everythingâ for Cartoon Networkâs Adult Swim. Ramirez currently appears alongside Fred Armisen on HBOâs Los Espookys, and does character voice over work for Adult Swimâs BIRDGIRL, and Teenage Euthanasia.
Ramirezâs performance practice extends beyond the limits of television and comedy, their live performance practice being integral to their art. They have recently been commissioned for original musical and dance based performances by Baryshnikov Arts Center, Gibney, Ars Nova Vision Residency program, and Moma PS1. This year they will be debuting their latest music/storytelling, experimental comedy show âGHOSTFOLKâ at the Wiesbaden Biennale in Germany. They have written for High Maintenance and The National Lampoon Radio Hour. Named one of Comedy Centralâs Up Next Comedians for 2018, Ramirez was featured in the San Francisco ClusterFest comedy festival, and performed at the Public Theater in New York as part of the January, 2019, Under the Radar Festival.
