DEAR JOHN is the story of what it means to be a father or daughter, our expectations on one another, and the ways we fall short. Spanning three continents and four decades, DEAR JOHN weaves together excerpts from John’s letters, a recorded interview with a woman who left a changing China in the 80s, and stories of growing up undocumented in New York City.
Performed in English and Cantonese with subtitles
