A little background:

The first draft of Against the Flesh was written on a weeklong silent playwriting retreat led by Erik Ehn in Muir Beach, CA. In the months following the retreat, Nick Robideau worked on rewrites with a Brooklyn-based playwriting group called The Pool, and collaborated with The Flea on a developmental reading. Most recently, Against the Flesh was named a finalist for The International Thomas Wolfe Playwriting Competition, sponsored by Playmakers Rep at UNC Chapel Hill.  Nick is now partnering with longtime friend, Theresa Buchheister, the Artistic Director of both Title Point and The Brick Theater, on a semi-staged workshop.  They want to give a sense of what the play could be, and find for themselves what they think it should be.
