Weasel Fest (actually Bring a Weasel and A Pint of Your Own Blood, how about that?), is a two-night extravaganza featuring brand new short works written in response to a shared prompt by Brooklyn College’s 2023 MFA Playwriting cohort. It’s served as a showcase for recent graduates in Brooklyn College’s playwriting MFA program, for the last 15-odd years. Prompted by our recent alumni playwrights, our festival of five short plays will explore the theme of legacy. Speaking of legacy, Brooklyn College’s alumni have gone on to produce plays on Broadway, win the Pulitzer Prize, and develop their work with production companies like A24. So, come on down for Weasel Fest and see what’s cooking with the next generation of theatre!
